A Disgustingly Adorable Cowl

Free

Introducing a lovely, oversized, and squishy cowl pattern that’s as simple as it is adorable! This pattern is designed specifically for knitters looking for a quick and satisfying project. I've published this cowl pattern primarily for visitors at Baaad Anna's, who often inquire about a reliable and easy cowl knitting pattern.

Crafted using Ella Rae Mega yarn, this cowl combines practicality with a luxurious feel, making it the perfect accessory for those chilly days. The yarn is wonderfully squishy, which translates into a cozy and warm finished product that you'll look forward to wearing or gifting!

For this delightful project, I utilized two balls of yarn to alternate colors; however, you'll be pleased to know that I had enough leftover yarn to create two separate cowls! If you prefer a more classic look without stripes, you can easily create a beautiful solid-colored cowl using just one ball. It would be especially stunning to pair a solid hue with a vibrant ball of Rasta or a variegated yarn for added texture and visual interest.

As the holiday season approaches, I’m excited to make these cozy cowls for everyone on my Christmas list. I will also have a selection available for sale at the East Vancouver Culture Crawl this November, so come by and see them! :)

While I strive to provide clear and concise instructions, I welcome any questions or feedback regarding the pattern—please don’t hesitate to contact me!

This sample cowl showcases Ella Rae Mega yarn, which has unfortunately been discontinued. However, I have provided a suggested substitute yarn below to help you find the perfect materials for your cowl project.

Enjoy creating this lovely cowl, and happy knitting!
