A-Frame Huts Stole
About this Beautiful Viking-Inspired Design: Discover the charm of Norstead, a model Viking village and trading port located near L’Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland, Canada. In this enchanting setting, sheep are lovingly kept in enclosures featuring quaint, A-frame huts. Inspired by this picturesque imagery, I crafted this collection with a consistent theme, continually revisiting a specific photo that captured my imagination. I envisioned a design that combined the distinctive A-frame shape of the huts with elegant swags of garland. After several creative sessions exploring a variety of stitch dictionaries, I uncovered the perfect border design that incorporates both the swag motif and a delicate flower bud (or bell) dropped edging. This intricate detail serves as a beautiful counterpoint to the strong geometric lines of the Viking huts, harmoniously merging nature's softness with structural precision.
