Introducing our beautifully designed fingerless mitts pattern, available in two sizes: Adult Medium (M) and Adult Large (L). These stylish mitts feature a decorative braid on the back of the hand and warm, stretchy ribbing on the palm for extra comfort and insulation. The innovative braid is knitted seamlessly as part of the mitt design, while the body of the mitt is worked flat, and the thumb is crafted in the round for a perfect fit.
This lovely woven braid evokes memories of the thick, sturdy rope found on the deck of the ship Princess of Acadia, which I have had the pleasure of traveling on many times between St. John, New Brunswick, and Digby, Nova Scotia. Sizes: Adult Medium and Large: Mitts measured flat and unstretched: Width: 3.5 (4) inches; Length: 9 (10.5) inches.

Materials Needed:
- Needles: Size 6 double-pointed needles (set of 4); cable needle
(Note: If you prefer to use straight needles for the main body of the mitts, keep in mind that you'll need double-pointed needles to create the thumb.)
- Yarn: Worsted weight; Main Color (MC) requires 90 (109) yards and Contrast Color (CC) requires 50 (61) yards, plus an additional 6 inches of waste yarn.
- Additional Supplies: 2 Stitch markers and a Yarn needle.
