This pattern is worked sideways, featuring a nifty beginning and ending that keeps your knitting engaging from start to finish.
The design includes a mindless stockinette center that can also be substituted with a beautiful mesh lace, framed by lacy borders that are knit as you go—well up to a point.
You can knit this shawl in any weight yarn, making it incredibly versatile for all your favorite fibers!

It’s important to note that the border on this shawl requires a bit more concentration than the simpler border used in the Galathea pattern.

Midway through the project, I decided to introduce symmetry, leading to a dynamic knitting experience. The border for the second half is knitted on from the final tip back toward the center—but don’t worry, you won’t need to break the yarn! This allows for a true one-piece knit.

Additionally, B Walker's modified k2tog-tbl technique is a godsend for creating a neat and tidy edge, and it’s thoroughly explained in the pattern.
