Finished Size:

Chest Measurements: 40(44, 48, 52) inches

Length: 15, (15.5, 16, 16.5) inches from the cast-on edge to the underarm. Due to the nature of heavy cabling, which tends to pull in, I highly recommend sizing up for a more comfortable fit. For the sample, I knitted the 44” size, which looks fantastic modeled on a 40” chest.

Yarn: This pullover uses Red Stag Fibre Croft DK, made from 100% Superwash Blue Faced Leicester wool, offering a luxurious feel and great durability. Each skein contains 246 yards/100g, and you will need 5(5, 5, 6, 7) skeins, or approximately 1300(1500, 1700, 1880) yards of yarn. The sample was knit in a beautiful Cobblestone colorway. For the 44” chest size, approximately 570g/1400 yards were used.

Needles:

You will need a US #5/3.75mm circular needle, at least 32 inches or longer (larger sizes may prefer a longer needle for added comfort). Additionally, a set of US #5/3.75mm double-pointed needles or your preferred method for small circumference knitting in the round will be necessary.

Note: Always choose the needle size that allows you to achieve the correct gauge.

Gauge: The Airson Fir Pullover has a gauge of 20 stitches and 24 rows per 4 inches, creating a beautifully textured fabric that showcases the yarn's colors and patterns.
