PATTERN SKILLS REQUIRED for this project include provisional cast-on (basic crochet — a detailed PHOTO TUTORIAL is provided), slip stitch colorwork, and cabling slipped stitches. These techniques will help elevate your knitting skills and confidence.
GAUGE in ribbing is measured at 22 stitches and 30 rounds = 4 inches (10 cm), blocked. For the slipped stitch and cable pattern, the gauge is 26.5 stitches and 37 rounds = 4 inches (10 cm), unblocked, and 25 stitches and 36 rounds = 4 inches (10 cm), blocked. Accurate gauge is crucial for achieving the best fit, so be sure to check before you start!
