Alpine Cable Fingerless Mitts

Introducing a stylish design for a pair of shorter mitts that harnesses the exquisite Alpine method of cabling. This technique distinguishes itself from the Aran method primarily because all knitted stitches are knitted through the back loop, giving your mitts a unique appearance that you won't find in traditional designs.

One of the key characteristics of Alpine cables, in contrast to Aran cables, is their beautiful cabled texture, which is typically crafted on both sides of the work. However, in this design, we're working in the round, which adds a modern twist while still showcasing the stunning Alpine aesthetic. These mitts are designed to be shorter than some of my previous patterns, reaching about 4 inches up your arm from the wrist.
