NEEDLES

You will need circular needles in sizes 4-5 mm (US 6-8) or the size necessary to achieve the correct gauge. Choose a circular needle with a length of 40 cm (16 inches). Additionally, optional double-pointed needles in the same size can be used to work on the crown of your project.

Don’t forget an additional circular needle that is 1 or 2 sizes larger for the provisional cast-on, which is essential for ensuring a seamless finish.

GAUGE

The gauge you need to achieve is 20 stitches x 28 rounds per 10x10 cm (4”x 4”), worked in either 2x2 rib or 1x1 rib, and be sure to block your work for accurate measurements.

YARN

Choose an Aran weight yarn or any yarn that meets the required gauge to get the best results for your project.

METRES NEEDED

You will need approximately 80 m / 108 m / 120 m / 130 m / 140 m / 190 m (88 yds / 120 yds / 130 yds / 142 yds / 153 yds / 207 yds) of yarn, depending on the size you are making. Remember, yardage can vary from knitter to knitter and from yarn to yarn, so it's always advisable to have a little extra yarn on hand to ensure you don’t run short!

YOU WILL NEED

Gather the following additional supplies to complete your project: 4 stitch markers, a tapestry needle for weaving in ends, and contrast yarn along with a crochet hook that matches your larger needle size for the provisional cast-on. These tools will help you achieve a professional-looking finish!

This knitting pattern is perfect for both beginner and experienced knitters looking to create beautiful, cozy items suitable for all ages. Happy knitting!
