Areya Knitted Beanie
I'm excited to share this lovely beanie pattern that I crafted for my sister, who's embarking on an adventurous 4-wheel driving tour through the stunning landscapes of Iceland. The ombre stripe tonalities in the yarn truly capture the essence of Iceland's natural beauty, and I can’t wait to receive some breathtaking scenic photos from her travels soon!
This beanie uniquely features stripes of the ladder lace pattern from my popular "Deep End" wrap, beautifully combined with classic garter stitch for added texture. The result is a stylish and warm accessory perfect for chilly climates, making it an ideal choice for any outdoor adventurer.
I used Knitting Fever "Painted Sky" DK / 8 ply yarn for this project, which comes in a 100g ball with an impressive 200m of yarn. Best of all, you only need one ball to complete the beanie, with a bit left over for your next project. This means no tedious joining of yarn within the beanie, keeping your work seamless and enjoyable!
Now that the beanie is complete, I’m inspired to start on a coordinating scarf using the remaining yarn for a stylish set that's perfect for keeping warm in Iceland's chilly temperatures. If you're looking for a knitting project that combines both beauty and functionality, this beanie is an excellent choice. Happy knitting, and I hope you enjoy creating this fashionable accessory!
