To Fit Foot Circumference: Our pattern accommodates various sizes, including 11 cm (4.5 in), 13.5 cm (5.5 in), 15.5 cm (6 in), 17.5 cm (7 in), 20 cm (7.75 in), and 22 cm (8.5 in). Whether you're making socks for toddlers, children, or adults, this pattern ensures a perfect fit for everyone!
Gauge Information: Accurate gauge is essential for achieving the perfect fit. The recommended gauge is 10x10cm (4” x 4”) = 36 stitches and 44 rounds, using 2.5mm / US size 1.5 needles for the tent stitch. For the stocking stitch, the gauge is also 10x10cm (4” x 4”) = 32 stitches and 46 rounds, utilizing the same needle size.
Approximate Yardage: To create your stunning socks, you'll need approximately 100m (110 yds), 150m (165 yds), 188m (206 yds), 276m (302 yds), 300m (330 yds), or 384m (420 yds) of yarn, depending on the size. This pattern works beautifully with 4 ply (fingering) weight yarn. Our samples were made using Drops Alpaca, a luxurious 100% alpaca fiber, in shades 7323 – Aqua Grey Mix (featured in the main photo) and 9021 – Fog (shown in the smaller sock).
