If you prefer to gauge yarn using wraps per inch, look for a yarn that measures 7 wpi. Our sample was beautifully crafted using Malabrigo Mecha, a luxurious 100% wool yarn offering 130 yards per 100 grams, providing both warmth and style.
Needles: For this project, you'll need US 10 (6.0 mm) and US 9 (5.5 mm) needles, or whichever size is necessary to achieve the correct gauge, plus one size smaller. The construction of the hat requires working in the round, making it a seamless and enjoyable knitting experience.
