MEASUREMENTS: The finished hat measures 17 ½ (18 ½, 19 ½)” / 44.5 (47, 49.5) cm in circumference and stands 9” (9 ½, 9 ½”) / 23 (24, 24) cm tall. The sample shown in the image is size S/M. YARN: You will need approximately 160 (180, 200) yards of DK or worsted weight yarn to create this stylish hat. For color A, approximately 85 (90, 95) yards are required, while color B requires around 70 (72, 80) yards. The sample was expertly knit using Cape May Fiber DK Merino in Light Indigo (A) and Dark Indigo (B), which enhances the beauty of the fair isle patterns. GAUGE: Make sure to achieve the correct gauge of 22 stitches and 30 rows equating to 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch. NEEDLES: You will need US size 5 (3.75 mm) and size 6 (4 mm) 16” / 40.5 cm circular needles, along with one set of US size 6 (4 mm) double-pointed needles, or any size necessary to obtain the specified gauge.
