Autumnal Cowl - knitting pattern

Autumnal Cowl

$8.00

Introducing a beautifully crafted knitting pattern, designed specifically for a single 100g skein of 4ply gradient-dyed ombre yarn. This cowl can also be created using two contrasting colors, although using two different colors may diminish the stunning blending effect at the bottom of the cowl. For the best results, it is advisable to select a simple gradient with fewer colors to highlight the merging tones as you progress through your knitting project. If you love unique cowl designs, you might also enjoy my similar creation available in my store, the TropiCowl, which features an elegant hibiscus flower motif.

Before you begin, wind your yarn into a single center-pull cake and work from both ends of the cake simultaneously for a seamless knitting experience. This pattern requires approximately 350-380 yards (100g) of 4ply yarn dyed into a beautiful ombre gradient blend. Alternatively, you can use two contrasting colors with approximately 50g of each. To complete this project, you will need a 3mm and 3.5mm circular needle, a stitch marker, and a blunt tapestry needle.

Upon finishing and blocking, the dimensions of the cowl measure approximately 25cm across the top edge, 10cm down the colorwork section, and an impressive 40cm along the increase edge. The bottom opening width is approximately 50cm. All measurements are taken when the cowl is laid flat, ensuring a perfect fit. This captivating knitting pattern not only allows you to create a stunning piece of wearable art but also makes for a wonderful gift. Dive into the world of knitting with this pattern that celebrates color and craftsmanship!
