Bamboo Weave Cowl

One of our last adventures before the pandemic brought travel to a halt was a delightful trip to Luang Prabang, Laos, where I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a bamboo weaving class. The photograph of the placemat I created serves as the perfect inspiration for the unique design of this knitting pattern.

The yarns I selected for this accessory beautifully combine a gradient/speckle effect with a solid colorway to create an eye-catching aesthetic. The primary yarn is Knit Picks Ice Sculpture Speckle, paired with Jamieson's Ultra in the serene shade of Silver. For this project, I utilized approximately three-quarters of each yarn, allowing for a substantial and stylish finished piece.
