Bantams Beanie

Many (too many!) years ago, I was born in the great Yorkshire wool city of Bradford. Although I haven’t lived there since childhood, my passion for Bradford City FC – affectionately known as the Bantams – remains as strong as ever. After experiencing two seasons of Premier League glory, the club unfortunately fell to the lowest tier of the Football League. However, in 2013, they accomplished an incredible feat by defeating three Premier League teams and making it to the final of the League Cup. Although they were ultimately beaten, this remarkable journey inspired them to win the playoff final, earning promotion to League One, which, for those unfamiliar with the unique terminology of current English football, is actually the third division. To commemorate this exciting season, I decided to knit myself a stylish hat in the iconic claret-and-gold color scheme of Bradford City FC. I'm excited to share the pattern with fellow knitters who share a love for the beautiful game as well as their favorite teams!
