Yarn Information: For this cozy pullover, you'll need sport weight yarn with approximate yardage requirements of 1120 (1240, 1370, 1500, 1630, 1760, 1900, 2030) yards (1019, 1128, 1247, 1365, 1483, 1602, 1729, 1847 meters). We recommend using The Plucky Knitter Traveler Sport, a luxurious blend of 65% extra fine superwash merino wool, 20% Mulberry silk, and 15% Yak. Each skein contains 325 yards (297 meters) in 105 grams, and you will need 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7) skeins depending on your size choice.
Needles: For this project, use Size US 4 (3.5 mm) circular needles (32"/80 cm) and a set of double-pointed needles. Additionally, you'll need Size US 3 (3.25 mm) needles, both circular (32"/80 cm) and double-pointed. An optional spare circular US 3 (3.25 mm, 32"/80 cm) needle is recommended for the Tubular Cast On technique. As with any knitting project, adjust your needle size if necessary to achieve the correct gauge for a perfect fit.
Gauge: Achieve a gauge of 26 stitches and 34 rows per 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette stitch using the larger needle. For clarity, 35 stitches of either the Right or Left Chart equals 5” (12.5 cm) on the larger needle. Proper gauge is essential to ensure that your pullover fits beautifully and expresses the design as intended.
