Additionally, the pattern features a one-of-a-kind barrel-patterned heel that adds both elegance and functionality, making this sock a delightful project for knitters of all skill levels.
Finished Size: Available in three sizes (S, M, L) [7” (8”, 8.5” around), unstretched], ensuring a perfect fit for everyone.
Yarn: For this project, we recommend using Sheepy Time Knits Sheepy Feet yarn, a luxurious blend of 75% Superwash wool and 25% nylon, with a generous yield of 464 yards per 100g skein. Our sample sock was beautifully knit in the captivating colorway Barrel Riders, perfect for evoking the spirit of the story.
Needles: You'll need a set of 5 double-pointed needles or two circular needles in US size 1 (2.5 mm), but feel free to use any size that helps you achieve the correct gauge.
Gauge: Aim for a gauge of 8.5 stitches per inch in the twist pattern and 8 stitches per inch in stockinette, as this will ensure your socks fit just right when knit in the round.
Perfect for fans of knitting and Tolkien alike, this sock pattern not only enhances your knitting skills but also allows you to create a practical piece that tells a story. Whether you're looking to knit a unique gift or to treat yourself, this Hobbit-inspired sock pattern is an excellent choice that invites creativity and fun into your crafting experience!
