Cozy Knitted Mitts Pattern

This versatile pattern is designed for creating cozy mitts using Double Pointed Needles (DPNs). If you prefer a customized fit, you can easily lengthen the mitts by knitting additional rounds both before and after working the thumb increases, allowing for a personalized touch.

Available Sizes:

XS: Length 19 cm, Hand Circumference less than 20 cm
S: Length 21 cm, Hand Circumference 20 cm
M/L: Length 23 cm, Hand Circumference 24 cm

Yarn Requirements:

For this pattern, you can use either fingering weight or sock yarn, knitted with two strands held together, or opt for a DK weight yarn using one strand. This flexibility allows you to achieve the desired warmth and thickness for your mitts. Here’s how much you'll need:

Fingering weight yarn (held double): 60g for XS, 70g for S, and 80g for M/L.

For example, the stunning green mitts in our sample are crafted using Atelier Zitron's Zitron Yak in color 9 (green).

Needles and Tools:

To complete your mitts, gather the following tools:

DPNs US4/3.5mm and US1.5/2.5mm
A tapestry needle
A pair of scissors
2 stitch markers
