The Story
When the desire for simplicity in my life collided with my passion for brioche knitting, the Basic Single Syncopation Brioche Cowl was born. This beautifully crafted cowl is designed to maximize the use of just two skeins of yarn: one skein of each color! Notes
These cowls are constructed in the round, making the knitting process both enjoyable and seamless. A basic color swap halfway through the height of the cowl introduces a striking syncopation effect, giving the cowl a unique twist that is sure to impress. In this pattern, you'll find instructions for three different weights of cowl: Sport, Worsted, and Bulky. Whether you’re looking for a lightweight accessory for transitional seasons or a cozy wrap for winter, this pattern has you covered.
Although the samples were knitted using the same size needles, it's important to note that if you tend to cast on or bind off tightly, I recommend going up two needle sizes for both the cast on and bind off sections. This adjustment will help prevent any pulling or puckering, ensuring your finished cowl has a smooth and polished appearance.
This project is carefully designed to utilize the entirety of each skein; please take note that the specified yarn amounts do not account for any gauge swatches you may want to knit.
