This versatile pattern offers two size options, ensuring a comfortable fit for a variety of head circumferences: 18-20 inches (46-51 cm) and 21-23 inches (53.5-58.5 cm). In addition to the sizing, you have the freedom to choose from three stylish versions: the ‘Spring’ version, showcasing a delicate single lace panel; the ‘Summer’ version, featuring lush all-over lace repeats; and as a bonus, the ‘Winter’ version, crafted purely in plain twisted ribbing for a classic look.
Skills and techniques that you will learn while creating this stunning hat include the Long Tail Cast On (optional), seamlessly working a small circumference in the round, mastering lace stitches, and performing twisted decreases. Materials Needed: For this project, you will need just 1 skein of Knitcraft & Knittery Fingering Weight Merino, which is 100% sustainable Australian merino (437 yards/400 meters per 100-gram skein). Alternatively, you can use 157 yards (143.5 meters) for the smaller size or 248 yards (227 meters) for the larger size of fingering-weight yarn. Additionally, gather 1 end-of-round stitch marker, 4 (5 for the larger size) additional markers, and a needle for weaving in all the ends when your project is complete.
