This beautifully crafted shawl design is perfect for a single skein of fingering weight yarn. For the sample pictured, I used a luxurious merino/nylon blend yarn with a meterage of 425m/100g. Keep in mind that using a yarn with different meterage will influence the final size of your shawl, making this an important consideration when selecting your materials.

The dimensions of my finished sample shawl are quite generous, measuring approximately 125cm (49 inches) along the left-hand edge, 74cm (29 inches) along the bind-off edge, and an impressive 135cm (53 inches) along the cable edge. These measurements create an elegant drape that's perfect for wrapping yourself up in style!

While gauge is not strictly essential for this project, it's important to note that working at a different gauge than specified may impact the overall size of your finished shawl. Therefore, feel free to experiment with different yarns and needle sizes, but keep in mind that your results may vary.
