Beeswax Hat
Bees are exceptionally clever creatures, and their ingenuity inspires our stunning Beeswax Hat, Cowl, and Mitts knitting pattern set. Honeybees utilize their beeswax to craft strong and efficient honeycomb structures, serving as vital accommodation, food storage, and nurturing space for their larvae. Our Beeswax collection beautifully celebrates the intricate design and texture of these natural formations.
The Beeswax Hat features a charming honeycomb texture, intricately created using simple mini-cables that can be knitted seamlessly without a cable needle. For your convenience, we've included step-by-step instructions for my favorite intuitive twist method, which I find easy to remember and execute. However, you have the freedom to use any cable method that you prefer, ensuring an enjoyable and personalized knitting experience.
To craft this delightful hat, you will need just one skein of Vintage Purls Max yarn (75% merino, 25% nylon; 227 yards/208 meters per 100g skein). Alternatively, you could use approximately 119 (181) yards/109 (165.5) meters of any DK or light worsted-weight yarn that you love. Additional materials required include a cable needle (optional), an end-of-round stitch marker, and a tapestry needle for weaving in your ends and finishing touches.
This pattern is available in two sizes: 1 (2), which fits a head circumference of 17-20 (21-24) inches / 43-51 (53.5-61) cm. To accommodate various knitters' preferences, we provide both charted and written instructions, making it accessible for knitters of all skill levels.
Join in on the fun of knitting the Beeswax Hat, Cowl, and Mitts!
