Being Green - knitting pattern

Being Green

$4.74

When I set out to create this beautiful shawl pattern, my primary goal was to make the most of the Rosy Green Wool I had left over from previous knitting projects. As I worked on the design, the colors came together so seamlessly that it wasn’t until long after I completed it that I recognized the unconscious inspiration behind the placement of the colors. My hometown, Lübeck, is not only rich in history but is also the place where the exceptionally talented weaver, Ruth Loebe, hails from. Her exquisite choice of colors must have been subtly influencing my design choices when I crafted this shawl.

This stunning shawl is a perfect blend of creativity and resourcefulness, utilizing leftover yarn in a way that showcases your unique style. To create this lovely piece, you will need four colors of yarn:

  • Main Colour (MC): 320 m (350 yd) / 100 g
  • Contrast Colour 1 (CC1): 192 m (210 yd) / 60 g
  • Contrast Colour 2 (CC2): 256 m (280 yd) / 80 g
  • Contrast Colour 3 (CC3): 32 m (35 yd) / 10 g

This shawl not only serves as a beautiful accessory but also as a testament to using sustainable and leftover materials effectively. Creating it will not only elevate your knitting skills but will also yield a stunning piece that reflects both your personal vision and the timeless inspiration of Lübeck's vibrant craft scene.
