Berried Pleasure
This quick and easy lacy shawl or scarf pattern is perfect for knitters of all skill levels! Not only is it visually striking, but it’s also simpler than some of the more intricate shawls I've designed. This makes it a fantastic choice for a beautiful handmade gift that will leave a lasting impression—without requiring a significant investment of time or money!
The shawl features an effortless variation of the classic feather and fan stitch, adorned with stunning glass beads for an added touch of elegance. To complete the look, it finishes with delightful double eyelets along the top edge, ensuring it remains feminine and stylish without unnecessary complexity!
You have the option to use fingering weight yarn for the smaller version or switch to dk weight for the larger version, providing versatility for your crafting needs. For the fingering weight option, I recommend the incomparable Madelinetosh "Tosh Merino Light" in the striking dk purple colorway known as Black Currant. Alternatively, the dk weight yarn I used is Malabrigo's "Rastita" in Mostaza, which has a wonderfully soft texture that you’ll adore! Each version requires just one skein of yarn, making it a budget-friendly project. Both sizes utilize 201 Size 6/0 Miyuki glass beads for that extra sparkle. To attach the beads easily, a size 13/14 steel crochet hook is necessary.
This delightful shawl or scarf not only makes for an easy weekend project but also serves as a stunning accessory for any occasion. Whether you're knitting for yourself or making a thoughtful gift for a loved one, this pattern is sure to impress!
