Betasseled is a charming tassel-adorned iteration of the popular Social Bobble shawl. This versatile pattern offers both garter and stockinette versions, complete with detailed instructions on how to create stunning contrast stripes while perfectly placing your tassels. Your shawl will surely stand out with these fashionable embellishments!
Yarn Requirements: For the main colour, you'll need between 380-400m of 4-ply wool yarn, approximately 420m/100g. Our sample was crafted using SkeinQueen Crush, a lovely merino/nylon blend in the breathtaking colour Salvage. For the contrast colour, prepare 80m of 4-ply wool yarn, again about 420m/100g; we utilized the fabulous colour Vegas, baby! for our sample. As for the tassels, we combined SkeinQueen Crush in Vegas, baby! with Brushed Alpaca Silk, creating a striking and soft finish.
Needles: You'll need 3.75mm/US5 needles for this project. Gauge: For the blocked garter version, aim for 20-21 stitches per 10 cm, while the unblocked stockinette should measure around 28 stitches per 10 cm. Notions: Don't forget to have 2 stitch markers on hand, with one being a locking marker for convenience. Measurements when blocked: The garter version boasts an impressive wingspan of 170 cm and a depth of 52 cm, making it an eye-catching accessory to add to your wardrobe.
