Bethany Wrap
This beautiful wrap, aptly named after my dear friend Bethany, features an elegant design that combines simplicity with stunning aesthetics. The addition of beads, which I had on hand, adds just the right amount of sparkle to elevate this piece, making it a perfect accessory for any occasion.
Sizes: The wrap is designed in one size, but feel free to adjust the width or length to suit your personal style and preferences for a custom fit.
Finished Measurements: 12” x 57” (30.5x144.75cm)
Yarn: For this pattern, you will need Fingering Weight yarn, with approximately 500 yards (460m) required, depending on your desired length for the wrap.
Suggested Yarn: I recommend The Blue Brickish Manitoulin Sparkle yarn, and you can create this gorgeous wrap with just 1 skein.
Suggested Needles: To accommodate the stitch count, use US6/4mm needles with a 24” cord. Alternatively, straight needles will work just as well for your project.
Notions Required: Prepare a few essential tools: a stitch marker (1), a tapestry needle, scissors, and optional beads with a bead hook for added detail.
Gauge: To achieve the right fit, ensure your gauge matches: 21 sts x 21 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette stitch when worked flat.
Techniques to Indulge In: This pattern offers a wonderful opportunity to explore various knitting techniques, including ribbing, decreases and increases, beadwork, and a tubular bind-off finish for that professional touch.
Embrace your creativity and craft a stunning wrap that not only showcases your skills but also adds a touch of elegance to your wardrobe. This pattern is perfect for knitters looking for a quick yet satisfying project that incorporates beautiful detailing and showcases your craftsmanship.
