Block Party Cowl
Introducing a simple yet stylish cowl that is both quick to knit and perfect for adding a vibrant pop of color to any wardrobe! This versatile accessory can be doubled looped for added warmth or worn singly for a chic look. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced knitter, this pattern is designed to be enjoyable and rewarding.
Pattern Details:
Yarn: Crafted with Knit Picks Shine Sport, a luxurious blend of 60% Pima Cotton and 40% Modal, this pattern requires:
- Color A: 2 skeins in Sailor
- Color B: 1 skein in Sky
- Color C: 1 skein in Green Apple
Each skein offers 110 yards (50g) of soft, vibrant yarn, making your cowl not only beautiful but also comfortable to wear.
Gauge: Achieve a gauge of 26 stitches = 4” (10 cm), and 36 rows = 4” (10 cm) in the designated pattern for best results.
Needles: Use US Size 4 (3.5 mm) needles for this delightful knitting project.
Notions: You'll need a tapestry needle, a crochet needle for the cast-on method, and a small length of waste yarn for a seamless finish.
Sample Finished Size: This cowl measures 50” (127 cm) in circumference and 5.5” (14 cm) in height, making it the perfect size to wrap around your neck comfortably.
Important Notes:
While gauge is not essential for this project, it’s vital to knit according to measurements to ensure the perfect fit. For the neatest finish possible, I recommend utilizing a provisional cast-on method and a grafted finish. However, if you prefer a more traditional approach with a standard cast-on and seaming the ends together, that's perfectly fine! Remember, knitting should always be enjoyable.
