Blowing Leaves Socks
Discover our beautifully designed Blowing Leaves socks, inspired by the breathtaking changing leaves in the picturesque Gatineau Hills. Fall has always been one of my favorite seasons, with the satisfying crunch of leaves underfoot, the invigorating crispness in the air, and the delightful opportunity to pull out all of my cherished warm woolies!
These socks are crafted from the top down, showcasing an intricate lace leaf pattern that elegantly adorns the leg and continues onto the instep, stopping just short of the toe. The design captures the essence of autumn, making each pair a perfect celebration of the season.
I truly hope you enjoy knitting and wearing these socks as much as I enjoyed creating them. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who encouraged me to get this pattern published and to my wonderful test knitters who ensured it was perfect for you!
Yardage Note: For optimal results, please note that this pattern requires approximately 450 yards of yarn for the large size, so make sure to have a full ball and a little extra on hand.
Updated on 30 January 2013: I've refined the pattern to include a smaller stitch count option and changed the name from “Falling Leaves” to “Blowing Leaves” to better reflect the dynamic beauty of autumn.
