Main Color (MC):** For the pattern sample, we used 2 skeins of Dream in Color Jilly, totaling 749 yards (685 meters) in the beautiful color Island.
Contrasting Color (CC):** The sample includes 1 skein of Manos del Uruguay Alegria, providing 244 yards (223 meters) in the classic color Natural.
You can also use any fingering weight yarn, with an approximate total yardage of 984-1094 yards (900-1000 meters), allowing for flexibility and personal touch in your yarn choice.
GAUGE INFORMATION
For optimal results, the gauge after blocking should be 18 stitches x 40 rows over a 4” (10 cm) area in the garter stitch pattern. While achieving gauge is not critical, it will influence the final size and yardage of your shawl, allowing you to tailor it to your specifications.
