Available sizes: Chest measurements 32(36, 40, 44, 48, 52) inches; length from cast on to underarm: 13(13.5, 15, 15.5, 16, 16.5) inches. Our light as a feather cardigan is designed to fit comfortably and stylishly, accommodating a range of body types.
Yarn: For this project, we recommend using the exquisite Chaos Fiber Company Tonal Deluxe, which is composed of 75% Superwash Merino and 25% Nylon. Each skein contains 460 yards (110g), and you will need 2(2, 2, 2, 3, 3) skeins. For our sample knit in the delightful Avocado colorway, I used 920 yards (200g) for a 44” bust and a length of 16” to the arm separation. Be sure to buy extra yarn to ensure you don’t run out mid-project—you’ll want to reserve enough for seaming!
Needles: Use a US #5/3.75mm circular needle, 32 inches or longer for the body of the top. For larger sizes, a longer needle may be preferred. Additionally, gather needles suitable for your preferred method of knitting small circumferences in the round. Remember, it's essential to choose the right needle size to achieve the correct gauge!
Gauge: Achieve a gauge of 20 stitches and 28 rows per 4 inches in stockinette stitch. This gauge is critical for ensuring your light as a feather cardigan fits perfectly.
