SIZES: Available in Small (S), Medium (M), and Large (L), with wrist circumferences of 6” (15 cm), 7” (17.5 cm), and 8” (20 cm) respectively. Each pair has a length of 10” (25 cm), ensuring a comfy fit for everyone.
YARN: For this project, we recommend using a sport weight yarn. The sample shown is made with De Rerum Natura Ulysse (Color Dore) and requires 40g (148m / 162yds) for size S, 45g (167m / 183yds) for size M, and 50g (185m / 203yds) for size L.
NEEDLES: You will need US size 2 (2.75 mm) circular needles with a 32” (80 cm) cable length, or any size that helps you achieve the correct gauge. We suggest using metallic needles for a smooth knitting experience.
NOTIONS: Gather your crafting essentials! You’ll need 2 stitch markers, waste yarn or a stitch holder, a tapestry needle for weaving in ends, and some scissors to complete your project.
GAUGE: To achieve the correct fit, aim for a gauge of 15.5 stitches over 2” (5 cm) in the specified stitch pattern. Accurate gauge is key to ensuring your mitts fit beautifully!
REQUIREMENTS: This pattern is perfect for those who are familiar with basic knitting skills including knitting, purling, and working in the Magic Loop method. You’ll also need to know the German Twisted Cast-On, be able to read charts, and perform an elastic bind-off for a neat and professional finish.
