The yarn used for this gorgeous cape is 100% Wool Bouclé, with a total length of 59 yards (54 meters) per 3.5 oz (100 grams). For the completion of the cape, I utilized a total of 459 grams of this beautiful Bouclé yarn. Bouclé yarn is characterized by its curly texture and soft feel, adding depth and visual interest to your knitted projects.

For reference, the gauge for this Bouclé yarn is 11 stitches and 20 rows per 10 cm in garter stitch, ensuring you have accurate results as you knit. Please note that the Bouclé yarn featured in my project is quite special; it was found at my mom’s home and is older than me! Unfortunately, it is a “no name” Bouclé, but I meticulously measured it and am confident that with a little searching, you can find a similar yarn on the market today. If you're unable to find an exact match, consider experimenting with a suitable Bouclé yarn held in several strands for the best fit and texture.

To create your own Bouclé cape, you will require several tools, including a variety of circular needles in sizes up to 5mm, ranging from lengths of 40 cm to 150-180 cm. Additionally, you will need some stitch markers and a crochet hook in 5mm for finishing touches.
