After numerous requests from our knitting community, we are excited to present the Breckle Cowl pattern, featured in Knitty Magazine, Winter 2019, now beautifully adapted into a stylish hat pattern. These two designs make a perfect set, and with just two skeins of Malabrigo Rios yarn, you can create a charming coordinating hat and cowl ensemble.

This versatile pattern requires approximately 200 yards (183 meters) of high-quality worsted weight yarn. To achieve a striking contrast and enhance the visual appeal of your project, we recommend using two different colors, each amounting to about 100 yards (92 meters). This will not only give your finished items a professional look but will also allow you to express your creativity.

With two skeins of the suggested yarn used in our samples, you can effortlessly knit both the hat and the matching cowl, making this project both economical and satisfying. Whether you're an experienced knitter or new to the craft, you’ll find this pattern easy to follow and enjoyable.

The yarn used in our stunning samples is Malabrigo Rios, known for its superior quality and softness—composed of 100% Merino wool, with an impressive yardage of 210 yards (192 meters) per 100g skein. For the main color (MC), we used the beautiful shade 133 Reflecting Pool, and for the contrasting color (CC), shade 618 Liquidambar. With this yarn, your finished hat and cowl set will not only be warm and comfortable but also incredibly stylish.

Join our community of knitters and elevate your wardrobe with this delightful hat and cowl pattern. Perfect for gifts or personal use, this set will keep you cozy and fashionable all season long!
