As March 29, 2019—the original Brexit day—came and went without a resolution, I decided to channel my limbo angst into a creative project: a unique Brexit sock knitting pattern. This artistic sock pattern features one sock adorned with 27 stars, symbolizing the UK's desire to leave the EU, while the second sock showcases 28 stars, representing the aspiration to remain within the European Union.
