NOTE: Don't worry too much about yardage or gauge for this project! The cowl can be worked up in any weight yarn, and using different needles is perfectly fine as long as you ensure you have enough yardage to achieve your desired width. This flexibility makes it a fantastic project for using up your yarn stash!

Needles:
For this pattern, you will need a US size 8 (5mm) circular needle. The circular nature of the needle makes it easy to create a seamless cowl that drapes beautifully.

Gauge:
While gauge isn’t critical, the recommended gauge is approximately 19 stitches x 24 rows over 4” (which translates to about 4.75 stitches x 6 rows per 1”).
