One institution that deeply resonates with us is the University of Bristol, where my sister explored her passion for education while studying for her Post Graduate Certificate of Education. It's hard to believe how quickly time has flown since her college days!

Growing up near Bristol, one of my most vivid memories is of the iconic red brick buildings that define the city's architectural landscape. As one of the esteemed 'red brick' universities, Bristol is renowned not only for its academic excellence but also for its strong ties to the fields of engineering and construction. With this in mind, I wanted the design of the Bristol scarf to encapsulate a solid, constructed feel. The incorporation of decorative 'brick' motifs in the pattern serves to pay homage to the rich heritage of this city, while symbolically reflecting how my sister laid the foundation for her inspiring teaching career right here in Bristol.
