Broken Reflection Mitts
As I celebrate my one-year anniversary as a designer, I find this moment to be one of deep gratitude and reflection. Over the past six months, I’ve joyfully experimented with elongated caliper cables, incorporating them into various projects including shawls, cowls, hats, and now, my latest creation, the fingerless mitts. These designs not only showcase my evolving skills but also carry personal significance as I embrace the journey of growth.
We often make structured plans for our lives and establish goals to guide us along the way. Yet, as the saying goes, life happens while we’re busy crafting those plans. Unexpected events can disrupt our carefully laid out paths, making us feel scattered and vulnerable. However, amidst life's uncertainties, there lies immense grace and beauty to be discovered as we piece ourselves back together. This philosophy is beautifully reflected in my latest design, Broken Reflection. This piece rearranges the elements of a cable that was once whole, symbolizing resilience and renewal.
