Bumbling Bees
This is my first-ever sock pattern, and I'm thrilled to share it with you! As I've been buzzing with creativity recently, I wanted to create a whimsical sock design featuring adorable bees fluttering about. Thus, I named this delightful pattern “Bumbling Bees,” and I hope you find as much joy in knitting them as I do.
Note: These charming Bumble Bees socks are designed for an average adult female foot with a 9” circumference, utilizing a 72 stitch count. The pattern is available in only one size due to the Bees section being a 36 stitch repeat. If you'd like to customize the fit, you can make adjustments by using a different needle size or yarn weight. The pattern is specifically written for knitting in the round with a set of 5 double-pointed needles (DPNs). Feel free to use your preferred knitting method, but please note that the necessary adjustments for other techniques are not included in this pattern.
**Gauge:** 32 stitches = 4 inches
**Needles:** 2.25 mm, or a size that achieves the specified gauge.
**Optional:** A needle one size larger for a more relaxed bind-off.
**Yarn:** You will need 2 colors of fingering weight yarn, approximately 230 yards each, to complete this delightful project.
In this pattern, you’ll find an engaging combination of stripes and a lovely lace section on the leg, perfect for adding texture and visual interest to your socks. So whether you're an experienced knitter or just starting your knitting journey, these socks are sure to bring a smile to your face and warmth to your feet!
Get your knitting needles ready, and let’s create something truly special together! Enjoy making your very own “Bumbling Bees” socks!
