Size and Measurements
The cowl is designed to fit most sizes comfortably. The sample measures approximately 23 inches in circumference and 12.5 inches in height. If you prefer a taller cowl, feel free to get creative! You can add more colors or use more than 20 yards per color to achieve your desired height.
Materials Needed
- Needle: US size 4 (3.5 mm) circular needle, preferably 24 inches in length, or as needed to achieve gauge.
- Gauge: 6 stitches per inch and 9.5 rows per inch over stockinette, lightly blocked.
- Yardage: Approximately 380 yards or more is required. You'll need 21 mini skeins or scraps of fingering weight yarn, each roughly 20 yards in length, though the pattern adeptly accommodates varying yarn lengths.
- Important: The first two and last two colors should be able to create 7 rounds of stockinette in the round over 140 stitches. Ensure you use an odd number of colors for the best visual effect!
