Bunkhouse Beanie

Welcome to my latest design inspired by Thomlinsons, a beloved bunkhouse in Rothbury that serves as a vibrant gathering place for walkers, cyclists, and outdoor enthusiasts. It's one of my favorite spots to grab a warm cup of coffee and enjoy some people-watching—perfect inspiration for this cozy creation!

Introducing the Bunkhouse Bobble Hat, a stylish and versatile knitted hat that can be easily adjusted and customized to suit your personal style. This pattern features a chunky yarn construction, but you can also opt to use two strands of DK yarn for a trendy marled effect that adds depth and character to your hat.

For this project, I've utilized my brand-new British yarn called BareFaced, made from a luxurious blend of British Wool and Baby Alpaca. This yarn is exceptionally soft, with just the right amount of texture to make every stitch pop while ensuring you stay warm on chilly days. Currently, BareFaced is exclusively available on my website and through a few select UK stockists.

The Bunkhouse Bobble Hat is designed to be worked sideways, featuring a center back seam and a ribbed cuff that is picked up after the body is knitted. The main body of the hat is crafted using larger needles for a relaxed fit, while the ribbing is done on smaller needles to ensure a snug and comfortable fit. If you prefer, you can use the same size needles throughout, although please note that this may result in a slightly looser cuff.
