Buried Treasure Socks

$5.37

If you've been yearning to craft beautifully intricate socks, your search ends here! Introducing our stunningly elegant beaded cabled socks, featuring a captivating array of cables that will not only embellish your footwear but also showcase your knitting skills. These socks are designed with an abundant amount of cables, adding texture and visual interest, as well as a delightful surprise: a "buried treasure" of sparkling seed beads that gleam with every movement. The unique cable design causes the leg to draw in more than usual, so we've thoughtfully increased the number of leg stitches in the pattern to ensure a comfortable fit. These extra stitches will be skillfully decreased during the gusset with an innovative technique that guarantees a snug yet flexible sock. Originally published in Yarn Magazine Issue 8 back in November 2007, this pattern remains a favorite among knitting enthusiasts and seasoned crafters alike. Please note that this pattern is provided in a charted format only, making it an excellent choice for those who love visual knitting guides. **Bead Requirements:** For the medium size sock, you will need approximately 226 size 8/0 seed beads, while the large size will require about 254 beads. Be sure to have enough on hand to add that touch of sparkle to your project! **Important Update:** An error was identified in the pattern on 4/22/10. When completing the heel and picking up stitches for the gusset, you should have a total of 100 stitches for the medium size and 112 stitches for the large size. These extra stitches will be adeptly decreased in the gusset to arrive at the correct stitch count for the foot. **Updated Beaded Rib Pattern:** For Round 1, the Beaded Rib Pattern should now read as follows: Rnd 1: (P3, k2) twice, p4, k2, p3, k2, p4, *k1, p4, k1, repeat from * to last st, p1. Get ready to dive into the world of intricate sock knitting—your feet will thank you!
