Size
The pattern includes sizes Small and Large, with a finished foot circumference of 8 inches (20 cm) for Small and 9 inches (23 cm) for Large, each slightly stretched. The size of the sock can easily be adjusted to your preference by modifying the needle size.
Yarn Requirements
You will need approximately 420 yards (384 meters) of fingering weight sock yarn. For your convenience, our sample sock was knit in the size small using Black Trillium FibreStudio Lilt Sock yarn, composed of 85% merino and 15% silk. The sample required 405 yards in a 100g skein and was crafted in the beautiful colorway named Willow.
Needle Size
For this project, size US1.5 (2.5mm) needles are recommended, perfect for small circumference knitting in the round.
Gauge
The gauge for this pattern is 32 stitches and 42 rounds in stockinette on size US1.5 (2.5mm) needles, measuring 4 inches (10 cm) when worked in the round. Additionally, one complete repeat of the cable/lace pattern measures 1.5 inches (4 cm) in length.
