Cables & Colors
Introducing the Cables & Colors Fingerless Gloves, a stunning knitting pattern that emerged from an exciting knit design challenge earlier this year. Designers were tasked with creatively combining two unique knit techniques, and I'm proud to say my gloves secured third place in the competition! These gloves are not just functional; they’re a stylish accessory perfect for any knitwear lover.
This engaging pattern is fully charted and designed for knitting in the round, making it an enjoyable project for knitters of various skill levels. The primary techniques showcased in this design are Fair Isle knitting, known for its vibrant color patterns, and intricate cable work that adds texture and depth. Currently, the pattern is adapted for one size, but with a few simple adjustments, it can easily be customized for larger or smaller hands. To increase the size, you can simply add extra stitches before and after the cable sections. Conversely, you can decrease the size by removing a purl stitch from both before and after the cable sections, ensuring a perfect fit.
These gloves are designed to comfortably fit women's hands, ranging from teen to adult sizes, with a total length of 8 inches from hem to hem. Whether you're looking for a practical accessory or a thoughtful handmade gift, these fingerless gloves are ideal for keeping your hands warm while allowing your fingers the freedom to move.
Prior to publication, this pattern underwent several rounds of thorough tech editing and was rigorously tested by multiple experienced knitters to ensure clarity and ease of understanding. With detailed instructions and beautiful visuals, you'll find everything you need to create your own stunning Cables & Colors Fingerless Gloves. Get ready to showcase your knitting skills and add a unique piece to your winter wardrobe!
