Yarn: For the best results, this cardigan works wonderfully with 4-ply, sport, and DK weight yarns that are knitted to a DK gauge. Selecting the right yarn is crucial, and I strongly recommend avoiding any yarns that contain silk or bamboo, as they can alter the drape and structure of the finished piece.

Gauge: Achieving the right gauge is essential for a well-fitting cardigan. The gauge for this pattern is 22 stitches and 29 rows per 4x4 inches in stockinette stitch, knitted on 4.0 mm needles or a size that will allow you to obtain this gauge.
