Capture a Cozy Moment

$8.25

If you're a fan of versatile and stylish knitwear, you'll absolutely adore the original Capture the Moment design! This time, I’ve created a worsted weight version that retains all the fun of the sport-weight iteration. This beautiful piece is crafted seamlessly from the top down in an exciting modular construction, making it a delightful project for knitters of all skill levels. The reversible border stitch pattern features a few simple brioche stitches, adding a sophisticated touch to your creation. Plus, the cleverly integrated slant pockets are knit right in, requiring only a quick tacking down of their sides for a flawless finish.

Finished sizes available include XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL), with generous circumferences measuring 44 (47, 52, 57, 61, 64) inches when the front borders are overlapped. This pattern is similarly recommended for bust sizes ranging from 28-32 (32-38, 38-44, 44-50, 50-56, 56-60) inches, offering a poncho-like fit that is wonderfully loose and comfortable. The model shown is wearing size M, standing at 5’ 7.5” with a 35” bust, which beautifully demonstrates the relaxed silhouette of this lovely garment.

Feel free to substitute your favorite worsted-weight yarn that matches the gauge requirements. You’ll need approximately 1425 (1600, 1800, 2000, 2200, 2325) yards for the different sizes, allowing you to select just the right amount for your project.

This pattern introduces you to various techniques such as the provisional cast-on, basic brioche stitches, reading charts, picking up and knitting, and yarnover-type short rows, all of which are clearly explained in the instructions. You’ll find everything you need to succeed, including a detailed schematic, a helpful glossary, and stitch patterns presented in charted format only.

Embrace the joy of knitting with this stunning worsted-weight design, perfect for layering or wearing on its own for a chic, contemporary look. Get started on your knitwear collection today with the Capture the Moment pattern!
