The gauge for this project is 16 stitches and 40 rows in a 4” (10 cm) square of garter stitch, using US 4 (3.5 mm) needles, after blocking. While gauge is not critical for the Castellaro shawl, variations can affect your yardage requirements and the finished size, so keep this in mind as you work on your project.
