In May 2012, I embarked on creating a unique sock pattern on a day filled with both creativity and sorrow, as it was the same day my beloved pet rat, Pollux, was put to sleep. To honor his memory, I named this special pattern after him. However, I couldn't overlook my other furry companion, Castor, who might feel left out. Thus, I set out to find a pattern that would truly capture Castor’s unique and spirited personality. Known for his erratic and unpredictable nature, Castor often went off in unexpected directions—much like the whimsical design of this sock!

Tragically, Castor passed away in February 2013, marking a poignant moment for me to finally launch his pattern as well.
