To create your pods, you'll need yarn—approximately 7-8 oz of 100% wool yarn (weight 4) for the small pod, 10-11 oz for the medium, 13-14 oz for the large, 16-17 oz for the extra-large, and 19-20 oz for the double extra-large. The pattern is designed to use the yarn double throughout, ensuring a sturdy yet soft structure for the kittens to snuggle in. Always consider having a little extra yarn on hand to account for any variations in your crafting journey.

For this pattern, you’ll need size US 11 circular needles (24" or larger, which is equivalent to 8.0 mm in UK/Canadian sizing), so you can comfortably accommodate the larger sizes while working effectively.
