MATERIALS NEEDED

Yarn: You will need 300-400 yards [275-375 m] of bulky weight yarn.
The sample scarf was knit using Uruguay Chunk, resulting in an extra-long scarf measuring 82” and consuming about 280 g or 410 yards of yarn.

Needles: Size US 10 [6.00 mm] needles are recommended, or adjust to the size needed to achieve the correct gauge.

Other notations: For this project, you will require 2 stitch markers, a cable needle (cn) or double-pointed needle (dpn) for cabling, and a tapestry needle for finishing touches.

GAUGE

To ensure the best results, aim for a gauge of 12 stitches and 16 rows, which equals 4" [10 cm] in stockinette stitch.
