Thank you, wonderful testers! <3

While browsing Pinterest one day, I stumbled upon a breathtaking brass Art Deco embellishment adorning a piece of furniture. Instantly captivated, I was inspired to create a knitting pattern based on this exquisite design. In my excitement, I quickly drew up a chart to knit the motif, which I'm grateful for, as I later lost the original inspiration picture. To make it unique, I added my own artistic flair to the center of the motif, and thus, Chance Brasswork was born! I sincerely hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I loved creating it. Happy knitting!

This knitting pattern utilizes three different colors of any Aran weight yarn, making it perfect for those looking to showcase their colorwork skills. For this project, I chose Elsebeth Lavold Misty Wool, using 1 skein each of the following colors: Dark Chocolate, Pine Green, and Klein Blue. Here's a breakdown of the approximate yardage you will need: Ribbing in Pine Green requires about 56 yards (50 meters), the background in Dark Chocolate will take around 132 yards (120 meters), and the foreground in Klein Blue uses approximately 81 yards (74 meters).

For this pattern, you will need needles sized US8 (5.5mm) for the ribbing section and size US9 (6.0mm) for the colorwork adventures. It’s crucial to achieve the right gauge to ensure your project turns out beautifully. The gauge for this pattern is 5 stitches per inch (2.5 cm) in stockinette stitch using the larger needles. Make sure to check your gauge before starting to avoid any discrepancies in size!

With its elegant design and rich textures, the Chance Brasswork pattern is an excellent choice for knitters looking to elevate their skills while creating a stunning piece. Don't forget to share your completed projects with our knitting community! We can’t wait to see your interpretations of this unique design!
